Family In 1993, Newfrontiers began a work in Manchester with a handful of people and a big vision to reach the city. Today, there is a thriving church in their original South Manchester location, and they have seen churches planted in other parts of Greater Manchester including Bolton, Oldham, Salford and Stockport as well as in other towns and cities in the North West. Now the focus is upon East Manchester. Encompassing both Tameside and the area situated immediately to the east of Manchester city centre, East Manchester includes some of the most deprived areas of England, and presents many opportunities for the transforming power of God to be displayed. With an emphasis on the word of God and the presence of the Spirit, the church seeks to reach out and care for all sections of society, and live out values such as hospitality, prayer and empowering people to be wholly devoted followers of God. |
